Hi,
I'm Sally Rende. Opening up the world of art and painting has long been something I had hoped to do one day. Walking that path with the special people I meet has not only enriched my life, but allowed me to share a part of myself that was hidden away for a very long time. Having always been interested in art, I took every class I could throughout school, and went on as an Art Major in College. After switching to get a degree in Computer Science, I kept art as a way to relax. Because my path took that detour, I have an exceptionally wonderful daughter and husband. As most folks know, family is a priority so my dream was set aside "for a while", until now..... I started oil painting in 2003, using the Wet on Wet method I now teach. Not only do I enjoy painting the landscapes I learn from the Master Painters of this technique, I love putting my own touches to them, changing the color or scene ever so slightly, to bring "my world" to life. That is what I inspire to do for my students and friends I have yet to meet. My hope is to share what I have learned and to make a difference to someone else, to help people believe in their inner beauty, to transfer that beauty to canvas, as a way to pass on the incredible "light" that radiates from the center of us all. You need only to try, and you will "Believe in the Magic of Oil Painting", too. Your friend, Sally |
